We are delighted to host the first Certified Wildlife Garden with pride of place at the front of the community centre! Sam designed and built the garden and has developed it over several years to be a haven for wildlife, showing everyone who passes how much you can do for wildlife in a small space. The wildlife garden is a similar size to the gardens on the housing estate around and he has packed all of his 12 elements for a wildlife garden into it. Encouraging our curiosity and interaction is also key, with seating and paths to explore the area and beautifully crafted signs so that we can try and spot all of the elements.

I love that the first certified garden is in a public space where anyone can view the garden to see and understand my concept. I’ve even added the element symbols to 12 chestnut signposts throughout this space for a bit more interaction- go and have a look if you get a chance ‘
